When deploying metadata and selecting what validation tests to run along with the deployment, users can now select the Run Specified Tests option. This option allows users to only run the tests they need by selecting which Test Classes they wish to include.
How to Run Specified Tests:
- Visit the Release Tab
- Visit Deploy
- Select Source and Destination
- Toggle on Metadata
- Visit the Validation Test Option field
- Select ‘Run Specified Tests‘
- Another field will appear with Test Classes
- Select from existing local Test Classes you wish to run
- To run managed tests and tests that do not yet exist in the destination, specify the Test Class by name and select ‘Add’
- Once the Tests and Metadata has been selected select ‘Deploy‘ to run specified tests with the deployment.
