Rerun a Test Run

The term rerun is a bit of a misnomer. Test runs contain the results of executing the test run. So to rerun, Test first creates a copy of the test run without the test run results and then executes the copy as a new test run.

There are two ways to rerun a test run:

  • Rerunning from the Test Runs page.
  • Rerunning from the Test Run Results page.

Rerunning from the Test Runs Page

To rerun a test run from the Test Runs page:

  1. Click the Test Run Results tab.
  2. Select the checkbox to the left of the test run to execute.
  3. Click Run.

Test duplicates the test run without copying the previous test run results, displays the Test Run Results page, and begins executing the test run copy, showing a progress bar that monitors progress. When the execution completes, Test adds an entry for the test run results to the table.

Rerunning from the Test Run Results Page

To rerun a test run from the Test Run Results page Select Rerun.

Test duplicates the test run without copying the previous test run results and begins executing the test run copy, showing a progress bar that monitors progress. When the execution completes, Test adds an entry for the test run results to the table.
