Configuration Steps for the Spring ’21 Major Release

To configure the Prodly AppOps managed package upgraded to v1.197:

The AppOps Release change management features have matured to the point where we can merge the two apps into one. But because of the way Salesforce handles upgrades, you need to manually combine the apps yourself.
We acknowledge that there are quite a few steps to complete. While we would much prefer that you spend a few minutes to bring your environment totally current, we understand you are busy.
Minimally, you must complete these steps to access the new features in this release:
For AppOps Release, complete step 3.For AppOps Test, complete step 4.
For Salesforce Classic, also complete step 2.d.5 to merge and order the tabs.

  1. Using Lightning Experience, in the Salesforce org where you installed the Prodly AppOps managed package, navigate to Setup > Apps > App Manager and locate the five Prodly entries:
The goal is to transform the five Prodly entries into these four entries:
  2. To transform the entries, do all of these steps:
    1. Delete the no-longer-needed Salesforce Classic app.
    2. Deprecate the no-longer-needed Salesforce Lightning Experience app.
    3. Combine the apps for Salesforce Lightning Experience.
    4. Combine the apps for Salesforce Classic.
  3. Next, if you are licensing AppOps Release:
    1. If you have not already done so, configure the Prodly AppOps connected app.
    2. Configure the Deploy buttons to use the Deploy page.
    3. Verify a product license is associated with your control org.
    4. Verify the control org connection from the Prodly AppOps app.
  4. Next, if you are licensing AppOps Test:
    1. If you have not already done so, configure the Prodly AppOps connected app.
    2. If you intend to schedule test runs and have not already done so, install and configure the Prodly AppOps Deployment connected app.
    3. Verify a product license is associated with your control org.

All metadata deployment and any future deployment enhancements happen through the Deploy page. While Prodly strongly recommends adopting the Deploy page, skip step 3.2 if you desire to continue to use the legacy deployment center.
