The Text ID Mapping picklist of the Field view side panel specifies the lookup IDs of the data set object deployment objects you want Prodly to search for in a text-formatted field in the source org and substitute with the corresponding destination ID in the destination text-formatted field.
Text ID mapping requires that Virtual External ID as the Record Matching Method of the data set object you select. Also, the data set object you select must deploy before the current data set object, therefore Prodly recommends including the object you select in a separate data set you deploy before deploying the current data set.
To add text ID mapping to a field:
- From the Next-Gen Data Set Editor, in the Object view, click the Fields tab.
- In the row containing the field whose properties you desire to adjust, click the Field view (gear) icon.
- In the Field view side panel, click the Text ID Mapping list box.
- In the opened list of available objects, select a desired object.
- Notice that mapped text IDs that reference these deployment objects include the deployment object’s API name and the data set containing text lookup IDs. During deployment, Prodly searches for these IDs in the source text field and remaps them to the corresponding destination text field.
During deployment, for each object in the selected Text ID Mapping list, Prodly maps the corresponding lookup IDs in the destination text field. Prodly disables this setting when you select Set Empty, Randomize, or Fixed Value.
To remove a text ID mapping from the list:
- In the Field view, in the selected Text ID Mapping list, locate the object you desire to unmap.
- Click the Remove Mapping (X) icon.
