Data Set Editor (New)

The data set editor allows you to create, view, and edit data sets and their data set objects. The new data set editor header provides actions that pertain to the whole data set, while actions in the side panel and interactive diagram view pertain to each individual data set object unless otherwise noted.

To access the data set editor, from the Data Sets main page found in the side bar of the Release Tab, click any data set row from the list of All Datasets or click on the View Data Set option on one of the Recently Used data sets that are located near the top of the page. The third option is to click on the Create a Data Set button in the upper right corner.

The data set editor displays pertinent information for the data set:

  • Relationship Hierarchy – In the relationship editor, text in the upper left of the side panel header shows the connection of the data set object from the root deployment object or the parent object to the current deployment object.

To move between data set objects in the chain, click the connected object name in the heading to jump to the data set object for that object. Or traverse the data set object chain by selecting the related objects in the Diagram view.

  • Data set name – Large text in the header displays the name of the data set.
  • Data set contents – In the main body of the editor, various data set editor views display all aspects of the data set and its data set objects. All editing of data set objects takes place in the expandable side panel, which automatically appears when the data set editor is first opened or when an object is selected from the relationship tree diagram.
