Data Set Details (New)

The data set main header displays the attributes and options that pertain to the entire data set. The edit icon opens the editor for the Data Set Details.

  • Data Set Name – Specifies the name that references the data set.

Prodly recommends setting the data set name to something meaningful that is related to the task the deployment accomplishes or using the name of the root deployment object combined with its related app version.

  • Root Object – Specifies the Salesforce object to use as the basis of the data set object. Accessible only during the creation of a data set.

Assign a Data Set to a Folder

Assign connections, data sets, and deployment plans to folders to better organize your Prodly object data. You may assign each item to only one folder at a time.

To assign, unassign, or reassign a data set to a folder:

  1. From the Next-Gen Data Set Editor, on the left side of the header, click the Edit Data Set (pencil) icon.
  2. In the Folder box, select to assign, deselect to unassign, or deselect then select to reassign a folder.
  3. Click Save.

Select Schemas

The ability to deploy data from an org based on the schema of a different org is a powerful feature of Prodly. By default, Prodly uses the local schema from your control org for data set creation and deployment. When your control org and source org have the same schema, use the default for faster execution. Unless you are doing something fancy (for example: event control or data transformation), you likely don’t need to select a destination org schema.

To override the default and select specific schemas:

  1. From the Next-Gen Data Set Editor, on the left side of the header, click the Edit Data Set (pencil) icon.
  1. Select a suitable Schema org from the picklist. The data set editor uses the schema from this org for data set creation and deployment uses it for the source data.
  2. Click Save.

You cannot use preauthorized (JWT OAuth flow) connections as schema org connections.
