Each data set consists of a data set object for each deployment object in the data set, organized as a data set object chain. This topic describes how to:
- Create and add a data set object to the chain and define the relationship direction of the data deployment. During deployment, Prodly deploys associated records only in the direction toward the checked objects.
- Delete a data set object (and all objects farther along the chain) from the data set object chain.
To create a data set object:
- On the Related tab of the Object view, navigate to the desired object in the list.
- Select the checkbox for the object.
- Notice the Relationship view (gear) icon turns into an interactable link and a new object node appears in the Diagram view.
- Click the icon to navigate to the Relationship view for the new data set object and click on the name of the newly created data set object in the heading of the Relationship view. Or, conversely, click on the new data set object node in the Diagram view.
- Make your adjustments in the now opened Object view of the new data set object.
To delete a data set object:
- On the Related tab of the Object view, navigate to the desired data set object.
- Click on the Delete Object (trash can) icon in the upper right of the object view to delete the data set object in its entirety.
- Click on Delete Object on the confirmation prompt.
To delete a data set relationship between two objects:
- On the Related tab of the Object view, navigate to the desired data set object.
- On the Related tab, deselect the checkbox next to the desired related data set object to delete the object relationship for the corresponding object.
- Click on Delete on the confirmation prompt.
Deselecting checkboxes on the Related tab deletes the corresponding data set object and all data set objects that are farther along the chain (but not also chained to the root object through another path).
