What is the Next Generation Data Set Editor?

Our old Data Set Editor will be deprecated over the coming months, but for now it is fully backwards compatible with our Next-Gen Data Set Editor.

How to use the Next-Gen Data Set Editor
- In the Release tab, select the new Data Set Editor icon from the side navigation.
- You’ll see a list of all of your Data Sets, and a quick reference to your 2 most recently used.
- Click on an existing Data Set from the table or Create a New Data Set using the button at the top right of the page.
- When you open a Data Set, you’ll see a new view, focusing on the diagram of your Data Set that shows all Objects and their relationships. If you’ve started by creating a new Data Set, you’ll be prompted to select your Root object, so you can begin adding related objects from it later.
- You can customize your view using the toolbar in the top right of the canvas, and you can zoom in and out with your mouse.
- Search for an object in your Data Set.
- The Next-Gen Editor now autosaves as you make changes.
- Click on objects or relationships to open a side panel where you can add related objects, select which fields to include or make configurations.
- You can Clone, Download, or Delete a Data Set. You can also Deploy or Validate a Data Set by clicking the Deploy button, which directs you to the Deploy page.
- Edit the Name, Description and Schema of your Data Set by clicking the pencil icon next to the Data Set Name at the top left of the page.
Feature Parity
A few of our features from the old Data Set Editor will not be included in our Next-Gen version:
