Summary

With each release, Prodly strives to improve our product and deliver the results and features our users need to make their work easier and more efficient. Our release notes are available to our users to review our most anticipated feature releases including requests and suggestions provided by our customers and updates on our latest bug fixes. 

What we are most excited about

Highlights from our latest release

  • Version Control for Metadata
    • Users can now choose to version Metadata along with Data when Version Control is set up
    • Metadata can be checked in and checked out to/from a connected branch
  • Next Generation Metadata
    • Metadata will be processed using the Next Generation processing model to increase efficiency and decrease load time
    • Current known feature gaps are highlighted here
    • Metadata types which are not deployable for managed components (i.e. Apex classes), will not show up in the compare diff anymore. Previously users would see them, but not be able to select them for deployment
    • Child types under CustomObject, such as CustomField, ListView, RecordType, etc…) will need to be explicitly defined in a metadata filter to be retrieved
    • Layouts, Triggers and Tabs moved to the top level and are no longer under the parent Object node
    • Metadata filter is now required for all compare

Bug Fixes & Enhancements

Latest fixes and updates

  • PM-4341 Events toggle will always be disabled for Metadata only deployments
  • PM-4786 When selecting ‘Redeploy’ for Metadata preselect components that were included in the previous deployment
  • PM-4853 Save to branch will no longer require a deployment name to be submitted
  • PM-4885 Skip Operations now has a separate section on the Deploy and Sandbox Seeding pages
  • PM-4886 Query builder now has a separate section on the Deploy and Sandbox Seeding pages
  • PM-4963 All components including picklist values will no longer be reordered by status
  • PM-4967 NextGen VC for Data using a Data Set or Deployment plan will show skip operation options
  • PM-4976 NextGen VC for Data using a Data Set or Deployment plan will show query filter override options
  • PM-5110 Metadata deployments will show processed ‘components’ instead of processed ‘records’
  • PM-5159 All action buttons removed from legacy Deployment Results page
