The event control feature gives you the ability to deactivate events for an object, deploy your data, then reactivate the events.

Temporarily Deactivate Events

When submitting a deployment from the Deploy or the Sandbox Seeding page within the Release tab, you may notice the toggle to Temporarily Deactivate Events. When toggled on, Prodly will deactivate Flows, WorkflowRules, Apex Triggers, Validation Rules and Duplication Rules related to the deployed objects in the destination for the duration of the deployment. Once completed, Prodly will reactivate these events.

To use the Temporarily Deactivate Events toggle:

1. Visit the Release tab.
2. Visit Deploy / Sandbox Seeding.
3. Enter relevant deployment criteria.
4. Locate the Temporarily Deactivate Events toggle at the bottom of the page.
5. Toggle on to deactivate events.
6. Select ”Deploy”.

This feature is not available for Validations.

Prodly cannot turn off events that are part of managed packages.

Prodly does not recommend disabling events in Production. By default, the toggle is not selectable when deploying to Production.

To deploy to Production with the Temporarily Deactivate Events feature enabled (Not Recommended):

1. Visit the Release tab.
2. Visit Settings.
3. Scroll down to find the toggle “Event Deactivating for Production” and toggle it on.
4. Visit Deploy / Sandbox Seeding.
5. Enter relevant deployment criteria with Production org as the Destination.
6. Locate the Temporarily Deactivate Events toggle at the bottom of the page.
7. Toggle on to deactivate events.
8. Select “Deploy”.
