Overview

Release creates a deployment history record for each deployment. Each record contains source org, destination org, and deployment status information.

Refer to the Troubleshooting documentation when diagnosing deployment issues.

To access the Deployment History page, in the left sidebar of the Release tab, click History. The Deployments tab is selected automatically.

The page displays pertinent information for each deployment you initiated from Deploy:

Deployment Name – Displays the name you provided for the deployment in Deploy confirmation section.
Type – Displays the type of deployment: deployment, validation, versioning.
Data Set – Displays the data set that was used in the deployment if applicable.
Submitted By – Displays the user who initiated the deployment.
Created On – Displays the timestamp corresponding to the start of the deployment. Can be sorted and filtered by a date range.
Source – Displays the environment name of the Salesforce org that Release deployed from.
Destination – Displays the environment name of the Salesforce org that Release deployed to.
Status – Displays the real-time status of the deployment’s progress.
Result – Indicates the final result of the deployment.
Work Items – Displays the linked work items (Jira, Azure Boards, Agile Accelerator).
Query Used – Displays the optional SOQL query used in the selection of records for the deployment.
Deployment Notes – Displays the optional notes added to the specific deployment.

Once deployment completes, monitor the data deployment progress from the Deployment Results page by selecting the Deployment in the history.

The history table can be searched, filtered, and sorted in the following ways:

Search by Deployment Name, Data Set, Submitted By, Source, and Destination.
Filter by Type, Status, Result, and Created On date range.
Sort ascending and descending by Created On dates. </aside>

Monitor Progress and View Results

When you click Validate or Deploy from the Deploy page or in Seed Sandbox, the Deployment History page appears, listing the real-time current status for all metadata and data deployments. Each row of the list includes a selection to drill into the associated Deployment Results details page, which shows the real-time progress of your deployment or validation, including separate sections for the overall result, individual record results, record batch results, data set results, and for deployments only: metadata results, deployment plan results, and deployment plan step results.
